Camryn Harris Opens Up About Family Guilt in Gut-Wrenching Episode of 'Encore'

Camryn Harris and her mother, Mimi Harris, are back on our screens in a new show titled Encore on Brandon TV, and they're baring it all. Now several episodes into its powerful first season, the show dives deep into the mother-daughter duo’s personal struggles, including their ongoing journey in therapy.
In the latest episode, "Was It My Fault?", viewers witnessed one of the most heartbreaking moments yet. Camryn, in a solo session with her therapist, broke down in tears as she opened up about the guilt she’s carried for years regarding her parents’ divorce.
Through sobs, Camryn revealed that she believed her dance career — especially the demands of filming Bring It! — may have pulled her mother away from her father, eventually driving a wedge between them. “I felt like I was the reason,” she admitted, barely able to finish her sentences through the tears.
The therapist then invited her mother Mimi back in to discuss Camryn's guilt together. As she struggled to find the words, the therapist offered to help her out. Camryn bravely voiced her fears, and Mimi was visibly shaken to hear the weight her daughter had been carrying. Through her own tears, Mimi reassured Camryn that none of it was her fault.
“I did what I thought was best for our family,” Mimi said. “It was never about your dance career.”
It was a raw, vulnerable moment that reminded viewers just how real Encore is willing to get. If Emmy nominations are any indication of what’s award-worthy, this scene alone deserves recognition.
