On the latest episode of Obsessed with Brandon Stewart, now streaming on BTV, SZNS singer Brooke “Summer” Kelsberg and American Idol standout Dimitrius Graham (aka Meechi) didn’t hold back when it came to defending fellow SZNS member Savoy Bailey from some not-so-nice words courtesy of Abby Lee Miller.
During the sit-down, Brandon rolled the clip that’s had fans buzzing: Abby going head-to-head with Savoy on Mad House, criticizing the rising star for starring in “vertical shorts” instead of “real films.” The reality dance mogul even claimed she was “testing” Savoy’s confidence in front of guest judge Richy Jackson.
But Brooke was ready with a clapback.
“Don’t save your tears, let ’em out girl,” she quipped, flipping Abby’s iconic Dance Moms catchphrase. Then, with a smirk, she added, “Has she seen any of the vertical shorts? Because it’s fine cinema. I love those movies!”

Brandon chimed in with a deadpan “They’re just vertical,” to which Brooke nodded, “They’re vertical, yeah.”
“Get with the times,” Brooke continued. “No offense, love you, Abby, but like… don’t read my girl. She is my Florence Pugh.”
Meechi was just as supportive, agreeing that vertical shorts deserve respect in the modern film landscape.

One thing’s clear, when it comes to Savoy, Brooke isn’t just a bandmate… she’s a real one.
