Is Miley Cyrus Teasing a Super Bowl 2027 Halftime Performance?
Miley Cyrus may have just sent the internet into Super Bowl speculation mode with two simple words: “Bowl rehearsal.”
The singer shared a photo of herself playing guitar alongside the caption, which immediately caught the attention of fans who have been following rumors that Cyrus could be tapped to headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show. With her name continuing to circulate as a possible performer, a post about rehearsing for a “Bowl” was naturally enough to get people talking.
Before we get too excited, though, there’s a much more obvious explanation. Cyrus is scheduled to perform at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18, meaning the post is almost certainly referencing rehearsals for those upcoming shows. In other words, she really is preparing for a Bowl — just not necessarily the one football fans are thinking about.
Still, the timing makes the caption a little more interesting.
Rumors have continued to swirl that Cyrus could be in the running for the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, which will take place at SoFi Stadium in California in February 2027. Nothing has been officially confirmed, but Cyrus would certainly make sense for one of music’s biggest stages. With a catalog spanning more than two decades, she has plenty of massive hits to pull from, including “Party in the U.S.A.,” “Wrecking Ball,” “We Can’t Stop” and “Flowers.” Not to mention her latest Number 1 album Bass Persuades.
That’s why some fans aren’t completely ready to write off “Bowl rehearsal” as nothing more than a Hollywood Bowl reference. Could Miley know exactly what she’s doing with that caption? Could the upcoming concerts double as preparation for an even bigger performance? Or is everyone simply reading way too far into two words?
For now, the Hollywood Bowl is the only Bowl we know Miley Cyrus is preparing for. But until the 2027 Super Bowl halftime performer is officially revealed, fans are likely to keep dissecting every potential clue — and Miley just gave them a pretty good one.
So, is Miley Cyrus performing at the 2027 Super Bowl? We’ll have to wait and see, but if she is, “Bowl rehearsal” may end up looking a lot less innocent in hindsight.
