Comedian and actress Kym Whitley recently sat down for an interview on Obsessed, with Brandon Stewart on Brandon TV (BTV). Known for her standout roles in The Boondocks, Young & Hungry, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, Whitley has also graced classic sitcoms like Married… with Children, Moesha, and The Wayans Bros. throughout her career.
During the "Hard Topics" segment, sponsored by Front Page Pop, Whitley tackled some tough questions—including whether she believes her Young & Hungry co-star Emily Osment has solid comedic skills or if she’s still honing her craft.
“She has the comedic chops; she was funny on Young & Hungry," Kym said. "But, I think as we go, we always find our comedic chops... I think she's there, but she can always grow. I grow,” she concluded.
Whitley played the beloved character Yolanda on Young & Hungry, a hit series that aired on Freeform (formerly ABC Family).
About Young & Hungry

Aspiring food blogger Gabi is on the hunt for a job and jumps at the chance to become a personal chef for successful tech mogul Josh. However, landing the role won’t be easy—Josh’s right-hand man, Elliot, would prefer a high-profile chef in the kitchen. With support from her best friend, Sofia, and Josh’s outspoken housekeeper, Yolanda, Gabi does everything she can to prove she’s the right fit. Along the way, her culinary skills might just spark something more than a career. The comedy series is executive produced by High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale.
