Brandon TV (BTV) is paying tribute to Destiny Morris, the 19-year-old Cal State Fullerton student and dancer who briefly appeared on the network’s reality series Mad House. Morris, whose warm personality and creative drive left an impression on viewers and castmates alike, passed away on November 14.
In a heartfelt statement, BTV reflected on her time with the show: “We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Destiny Morris, whose bright spirit and genuine warmth brought a special light to our set of Mad House. Destiny brought joy, talent, and heart to all who knew her… We honor her beautiful memory today.”
While Morris’ presence on Mad House was brief, castmates and production s ay her enthusiasm and kindness made her unforgettable on set.
Beyond television, Destiny was an active and admired member of the CSUF Dance Team, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Tusk Magazine. Teammates remembered her as a determined and uplifting figure. “Destiny was… a breath of fresh air,” teammate Bella Escabedo shared. “Her resilience is still carried with each and every one of us.”
The CSUF community will honor her with a moment of silence at the Men’s Basketball Big West Conference Home Opener on December 4 at 7:00 PM. Her home studio, By Your Side Dance Studio, also launched a memorial fund and plans to host an in-person service.
From the editing bays of BTV to the dance floors and classrooms of Fullerton, Destiny Morris’ impact is being felt widely. Both communities say the same: her light was unmistakable and it will be deeply missed.
