Collin Gosselin, the 20-year-old son of Jon and Kate Gosselin from Jon & Kate Plus 8, is speaking out about his difficult childhood, pushing back against his mother's claims of mental health issues. After being discharged from the Marines, Collin shared shocking allegations in a new interview, accusing Kate of both physical and emotional abuse.
"My mother many, many times -- and most of the time -- became physically aggressive, verbally very abusive with the things she would say," Collin told The U.S. Sun, "and obviously that carries over to the emotional side of things where a young child doesn't know any better."
Collin claims Kate often became aggressive, even zip-tying his hands and feet, locking him in a room for days. He also says she told him no one would believe his accusations. After child services intervened, Collin was placed in a mental health facility at age 12. He later wrote a letter to his father, Jon, begging to be rescued, which eventually led to his release.
Collin's time in the Marines was cut short after Kate posted on Instagram about his alleged psychiatric diagnoses. Collin disputes these claims, providing documentation from a re-evaluation showing no signs of mental illness. He believes Kate's post contributed to his discharge from the military and continues to fight for his dream of serving his country.
Kate has not publicly responded, but her attorney stated that she acted in her family's best interest and denied any intentional harm toward Collin.
